Much of the research AICR's supporters make possible is of a fundamental nature. That is, the projects investigate the building blocks of life - the methods by which cancers start and develop.
It is only by carrying out this type of research that a cure and treatments will be found. In the past few years we have taken part in hundreds of projects looking into a wide variety of cancer types including:
- Prostate cancer
- Breast cancer
- Colon cancer
- Lung cancer
- Brain cancer
