Television Campaign

The Association for International Cancer Research ran its first television advertising campaign in 2006 aimed at raising awareness of its work and asking for new donors to get involved. The campaign ran throughout June and was targeted at people who wanted to know more about AICR and its work, and would like to help on an ongoing basis. The aim of the 40 second advertisement was to show people that cancer need not be something to fear as long as crucial cancer research projects continue to be funded.

AICR's Chief Executive commented, "We are continuing to broaden our fundraising base and this television campaign is the latest example of our plans for the future. We hope to get the message across that cancer treatments have improved dramatically over the past 20 years and that it is only by funding more research that these improvements will continue."

The 40 second commercial was shown during a variety of popular daytime and primetime shows such as "This Morning", "Emmerdale", "Celebrity X Factor" and "Who Wants to be a Millionaire", as well as several spots during news programmes and movies.

The Association for International Cancer Research funds projects all over the world. A donation from you, today, will contribute to further research into conquering cancer.
