They departed on Monday 13th July and managed to complete the trip in 12 days! They managed to clock up a total of 1381 miles and averaged 115 miles a day so they were extremely pleased with how it went!
Dan said: "At university one of our mates battled with cancer and, more recently, my Dad had prostate cancer. Thankfully both our friend, and my Dad, pulled through but it really brought home the need to invest in research into the disease."
Rory and Tom added: "Doing something like this was a real challenge for all of us, particularly when it came to soaring sauna like temperatures in Spain. We really wanted to complete the trip in 14 days but quite a few folk said this would be impossible. In fact, we did it in 12 days, averaging 115 miles a day! We were delighted and know the money will help make a difference."
They have raised more than £5,000 but you can still help them by donating at their Justgiving page or on our website.
Geraldine Long, AICR’s Development Manager, said: "The guys have done exceptionally well and we are all very proud of their achievement. Currrently AICR is funding 212 projects in 24 different countries and it's thanks to people like them that we continue to make strides in cancer research."
