Campaigns & Appeals

Throughout the year AICR has many different campaigns and appeals taking place. You will find further information on them in this section.

The Spotlight Appeal was launched to raise awareness of prostate cancer and to also raise funds to catch up on the years that prostate cancer has been neglected.  Since 2008 the appeal has raised £6,400,000. You can read more about the Prostate Appeal here.

In 2007 AICR launched a major new campaign called Combat Cancer 2020. The aim is to raise money for projects which will ensure that by 2020, 8 out of 10 people can be successfully treated for cancer and go on to live a full and active life. This year AICR decided to start an appeal to get the PSA Test available on demand. We hope that this campaign is a success for the 10,000 men who die of prostate cancer a year. You can find out more about the PSA Petition here.
