On your marks… Get set… GO!
The Bupa London 10,000 is one of the UK’s most exciting runs and we are on the lookout for aspiring runners to join Team AICR and take part in this year’s event – raising money for our vital cancer research along the way!
Runners will pass many of London’s famous sights, including Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, The London Eye, Cleopatra’s Needle, Tate Gallery, Millennium Bridge, The Monument, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Horseguards, Nelson's Column and Admiralty Arch. The backdrop of Buckingham Palace marks the start and finish of the race.
The 2013 race will be held on Monday 27th May 2013.
Why should I run for AICR?
We know that the thought of training for an event like the Bupa London 10,000 and raising money at the same time can be daunting but our fundraising team is here to support you every step of the way throughout your fundraising journey. We’ll be on hand 24/7 to help you in any way we can. We’d even go as far to say that we’ll look after you like a parent would look after a new-born child - just don’t expect us to change any dirty nappies!
Visit the About Us section to find out more about AICR’s work and all the great cancer research that we’re funding around the world.
How to join our team
If you already have a place in the Bupa London 10,000 and would like to us it to run for Team AICR then let us know by emailing us (events@aicr.org.uk). We ask all runners to try and raise as much as they can (last year each of our runners raised an average of £650!) and in return we’ll provide you with all the support you need to ensure that you make it over the finish line – and smash your fundraising target at the same time! All runners will receive a Welcome Pack, official AICR running vest and everything listed below (See: What being a Team AICR runner means)
