Taking place in Portsmouth, the BUPA Great South Run is Europe’s leading 10 mile road race with over 21, 000 runners taking part. The course is fast and flat, suiting both first time runners and experience runners and passes some of Portsmouth’s naval heritage, including HMS Victory and the Mary Rose.
How to enter
The Official Ballot for the BUPA Great South Run is now OPEN! Please visit www.greatrun.org to enter. If you are successful in securing a place in the ballot and would like to use this to run for Team AICR then please fill in our online form here or email your details to events@aicr.org.uk.
There is no minimum sponsorship amount when you have your own place however we do ask all Team AICR runners to raise as much sponsorship as possible.
Apply for a Guaranteed Place
If you missed the ballot or were unsuccessful in gaining a place, don’t worry – AICR has Guaranteed Places in the 2012 Great South Run.
If you would like to apply for one of our places then you can download our application form here. Please note: We ask for a minimum sponsorship amount of £250 for a guaranteed place in this event.
We recommend that everyone who applies for a guaranteed place to also apply for a place in the official ballot as this will give you a greater chance of securing a place!
